I'm not sure what I'll be doing for the rest of the week, but I need to get some housework done, as we're off to Birmingham this weekend to see JK and Gareth, and then next Friday we're off camping in Southwold.

Orange shirt
A close-up of the collar:
It actually looks a lot better on me, as I'm quite a bit more curvy than Diana*, but I couldn't get a very good photo of myself.
* Diana is my dressmaking dummy :-)

A quiet week.
On Tuesday, I managed to go to the gym for the first time in ages and had a swim, and then on the way back I dropped Pootle off at the garage, as the clutch pedal keeps sticking down when changing gear. As I had a few hours to kill, I went and joined the library, and did a bit of shopping. When I picked up Pootle, Jon said that it would cost £150 to fix, but if I was OK with making quick gear changes, and pulling up the pedal when it gets stuck, there's no reason to get it fixed.
Tuesday night was the quiz, and we didn't do quite as well as last week, although we still managed to beat Lumbered. The rest of the week has been quite dull, although I did make a bit of a start on the Library. I kept getting distracted though - I found my journals from when I was 18, so had to read through them, plus I also found these that Gareth sent us, so had to make them:

A very busy week!
Ade got me some flowers:
The lillies are out now, and smell lovely, and look pretty good too:
Saturday, we went to Tatton Park with Pea, and had a picnic. Sunday, we went over to Oldham and went out with Phil, then we went to Rebecca and Patrick's for a Barbecue, then round Royton for a bit of a pub crawl. On Monday, we went on a steam train, and then Angela cooked us a lovely roast dinner. I've put photos on Facebook, so I won't put them here as well. Here are the links for those not on Facebook:

On Tuesday, Mum and I went in to Manchester to do a bit of shopping, and to have a look to see if we could find out any more information about my Great-great-grandfather. He was married in the cathedral in 1836, and was stationed in the Barracks in Hulme at the time. Tuesday night, Mum came along to the pub quiz, and thanks to her help, we managed to win, and even got a fantastic score of 24/25 for the first half!
I've got Ade's cold now, so I haven't really doing very much since Mum left yesterday, but I did make these stars this afternoon:
I'll probably do some more beading tomorrow, something a bit more practical, but they were great fun to make.
Ade's home now, and he's starting to cook tea, so that's it for today.
