I'm back!

Hello!

I've decided to start up this blog again, as even though I'm not a housewife any more (damn work getting in the way!), I enjoy having somewhere to post photos of the crafty stuff that I've been doing.

So most recently, I've made another dress, this time from Avengers fabric. I'm planning on wearing it to Invasion on the Saturday night, as the theme is Marvel Superheroes.

Can you see the invisible zip? I'm getting pretty good at these now!

I've made quite a few other things since I last posted, so I'll try to post them when I haven't got anything else to post. Hopefully blogging again will get me motivated to do a bit more crafting too.

And to leave you with something sweet, here's a picture of a Bakewell Tart I made a few weeks ago:

Skulls and Roses.

I've made another dress! Front:

Back:

I did piping on the neck edge (my first time too!):

And I used bias binding for the bottom:

I think I need a night out in Rockworld to wear this!

Tiger, tiger, burning bright.

I made Phil a tiger shirt. The fabric is some velour that I got from ebay - horrible to work with, but Phil seems pleased with it!

Party Dress

I've finally finished my party dress - it took quite a while as I had to go out and buy some lining and net, plus a zip, and then I went to Derby for three days last week. I'm really pleased with it - I just need somewhere nice to wear it now!

I also knitted a lego man:

Graze

I don't know if anyone is reading this, but I've just signed up to a site that does healthy snacks, and if I can get my friends to sign up, they'll get a free box, and I'll get £1 off my next box :-)

This is the website, it should automatically fill in the code for you: http://www.graze.com/p/GPW4MWV

Summer dress.

I really love this pattern - it's such a flattering style. I also did my first concealed zip, although I didn't use the special foot I got, as I couldn't even get it attached properly to my machine. It's just as easy with a normal zipper foot though, and is actually easier than inserting a non-concealed zip! Now all we need is a decent summer so I can wear it!

Yet another shirt!

I'm getting quite quick at these shirts now! This one took me about a day in total to make:

I got the fabric last year from the sale bin in Dunelm. I think I paid less than £2 a meter for it, so this worked out pretty cheap. I had to go and get some matching buttons for it, as it looked strange with white buttons, but they were only 20p each.
